Citizinship Refused - Reapply Process

Hi, Today I received the worst news ever. My citizinship application has been refused by Home Office. I had one criminal conviction few years back. As per Convictions spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 need not be disclosed.
I got my Permanent Residency when I disclosed about the criminal conviction (even when I was not supposed to as per 1974 Act) but this time for citizinship application I didn't disclose that.
I am confused. Is there anything I can do?

I think you have to let us know the details of the conviction and when it occurred before anyone can advise you appropriately

Did the Home Office indicate exactly why you were refused (not disclosing or the nature of offence) and if/when you can reapply again?

Yes Home Office indicated few points - 'Good Character' requirement 'Failed to disclose the conviction' and 'Unspent conviction'. Yes they have mention that I can re-apply in 2017 and even before if I wish to but might not be considered again before 2017.
Thanks for the responses guys.

Sorry can't disclose the conviction in public forum.

I believe that the guidance notes say that offences that have been spent under the Rehabiltation of Offenders act 1974 need not be disclosed so you might have a case. However, not sure what is the nature of your offence.
I reccomend involving a professional if you wish to reapply or send a letter.
