I am about to fill in my application for Naturalization as a british citizen.
One if the points is that I need 2 referees.

holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or over the age of 25.

I have lived here in the UK 6 years with my wife. The problem is that we have not lived one place for more than 2 years as we have been moving with her job and my job. Therefore I dont know what do to with the professional referee as I cant find any "professional" who has known me for more than 3 years.

Have anyone else had this problem?
Anyone know if there is a legal work arround for this?

How about some professional from your first or subsequent places in the UK, not less than 3 years ago?

So if I have known a professional from the 1st year and only had contakct for 2 years. Then if I contact that person now and meet up now after 5 years/
Do you think that could be ok?

That would be OK but only if referee recognise you after 4 years

To have a professional referee doesn’t mean that he/she should be in contact with you professionally for 3 years. A professional could be your friend. Your previous landlord, your previous GP etc etc.

For children I think but not sure its a little different, Professional should know a child in a professional capacity.

I guess you should see the MN1 Guide...........Even though for children they are very flexible on references but for your help see below from guide lines...

One referee should be a professional who has engaged with the child in a professional
capacity, such as a doctor, teacher, health visitor, social worker or minister of religion.
The other referee must be the holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional
person or over the age of 25.
Each referee should know the child personally and should be:
• not related to the child
• not related to the other referee
• not acting as a solicitor or agent in connection
