Please could you advise, what about students who got married to BC? Can they apply for Naturalisation after getting ILR on 2 years spouse visa? If they have lived in the UK more than 1 years?

Many Thank.

As per my understanding, migrant(s) married to British citizen should change immigration status to spouse of British citizen using FLR(M) if considering obtaining settlement through this route (marriage / partnership with citizen). Then apply for settlement after completing 2 years in the UK as spouse of British citizen and upon being granted settlement apply for naturalisation as and when they complete 3 years stay in the UK under any (legal) immigration category (for spouses of British citizens there is no requirement to be free from immigration time restriction for 1 year).
