I am going to apply naturalisation but i do not have mother date of birth. My mother died 1991. I checked with my family members they only know the age that mentioned her death time.

What shall i write on the box in date of birth?

Can i explain what i know about her?

answers will be apriciatable and lot of others as well.

If you don't have the information this isn't important. Put 'unknown' in the box. This is primarily for applicants who are claiming BC due to nationality/right of parents.

I am still confuse because some people are saying you should explain home office you don't know dob of mother & why, otherwise your form will return back to you.

And your mother wasn't born in the UK, so whatever you put in won't be possible to verify (and HO won't care anyway, as mentioned above).
I'd just put the year and whatever date in that year.
People come here without surnames and nationalities at all and they are fine.
Why shouldn't you be if it is even not about you but about your late mother?

Not entirely sure that advising the OP to 'cook up' a DOB for their deceased mother and input on their naturalisation application is wise. Just because you have heard of others doing the same is not license to offer this as sound advice!
