NATURALISATION APPLICATION AFTER SUCCESSFUL ILR APPEAL

My application for indefinite leave to remain was initially refused in January 2010 but granted on appeal in July 2010 and passport was endorsed in August 2010. I want to know the appropriate time to apply for naturalisation in view of the fact that the initial decision of the HO was found by the Immigration tribunal to be wrong. Does the period of waiting for appeal to be granted count towards my residence requirement of 1 year after obtaining ILR?. Please offer an informed advice as I do not want to lose my money for applying too early. Thanks. Chidynej

I will say YES but you will need to request a letter from UKBA to back date the time you are free from immigration to the exact date it should be initially.

Just write UKBA (your case worker) a letter to explain your situation and politely ask to be given a letter confirming the correct date you are free from immigration.

Hope this help or anybody who or knows anyone that had experience this before should please contribute.
