Nauralisation of wife after mine (based on 3 years stay)?

Hi All,

I'll be eligible for my naturalisation in coming July and I believe it'll take up to 2 months to get naturalisation and passport done then I’ll become British National (not sure Citizen or National) which will qualify my wife to apply for naturalisation after completing her 3 years in UK which will be in January next year (she's already on ILR).

Also my son born in UK before our ILR, so I believe he's already eligible for naturalisation but I’ll apply him with me to minimize hassle.
Based on above situation this is what I’ll be doing:

1) July, 11: Apply for my naturalisation using AN form with £780 fee
2) July, 11: Apply for my son's naturalisation using MN1 form with £500 fee
3) After naturalisation I’ll be applying for mine and my son's first passport which costs £77.5 and £49
4) Jan, 12: Apply for my wife's naturalisation using AN form with £780 fee
5) After her naturalisation I’ll be applying for her first passport which costs £77.5

I know both of us has to pass Life in UK test and i believe that's the only requirement.
Could some one confirm if the above plan is correct? Apologies for the long post.

Many Thanks,
Faraz

Will your wife be married for 3 years to British Citizen in 2012? Or only 1 year?

Kids born in the UK to parents who have no PR/ILR at the time of birth do not have automatic right to become BC (that's my understanding).

Yes she was married to me before entering UK. My son also got ILR with us, so i believe he should be fine as well.

Other than the fact that your son will apply for registration as British citizen (using MN1) and not naturalisation, the plan of action is fine.
