Hi,
First of all let me thank this forum for being helpful & useful as always has been. Special thanks to my friend Sushdmehta for the help during ILR last year who was in a similar situation as me.
I am due for citizenship now and seeking advice on below:
I entered UK in Jan-2005 on WP.
My Wife entered UK as my WP dependant in Feb-2005.
I switched to my own HSMP in Feb-2007. (I got initial approval in Nov-2006. i.e. based on the rules prior to Nov-2006 But later than Apr-2006). Got further 3 Year Extension in Feb-2009.
Meanwhile my wife switched to her own HSMP in Dec-2006. (My wife got her HSMP initial approval in Sep-2006. i.e. based on the rules prior to Nov-2006 But later than Apr-2006). Then she had a further 3 year extension after applying HSMP extension in Dec-2008.
She continued on her own HSMP until Feb 2010. In Feb 2010 she switched back as my HSMP dependent so that she could apply for ILR with me.
Our UK born baby (mid-2007) was on my HSMP dependant Visa and now on ILR like us since Feb-2010.
We all together applied for ILR (myself as main applicant and wife & baby as my dependant) in Feb-2010 and received it successfully.
Also, we have received a supporting letter indicating that the ILR can be counted from Jan-2010 (i.e. backdated. although the stamp indicates Feb-2010.
We are hoping to apply towards the process of British Citizenship this month asap.
Queries:
1. What’s the best & reasonable way to get our Citizenship together?
[Please can you specify all possible options / routes, Thanks]
Wish you all a very Prosperous & peaceful New Year.
Thanks as always.
