Hi Every one,I am about to apply for British citizenship(through Spouse of a British citizen) and i want to know if when i applied for my indefinite leave to remain(ILR) about a year ago,if UKBA would have done any conviction checks on me before issuing me ILR.I don't have any convictions nor have i been involved in any trouble before in my life. But do want to know if these checks would have been done just in case of mistaken identity.

Your replies would be much appreciated.

HO does carry out all the checks in order to meet the requirements of "good character" before issueing ILR or even Citizenship. Hope this helps... :)
