Does anyone know how to contact UKBA enquiring update about citizenship application over the phone, if application has been with them for just over a month not six months?

Thank you so much Malli
I will be very grateful if you please help.
I am very confused; it has only just been over a month since my application is with them.
However reason for my concern is my bankruptcy, i have sent them discharged certificate etc, but i am still very anxious.
Do you think it’s a good idea to call them and check, should they require any further documents or just leave it and let them take their own time? Is it going to effect my application in a negative way if i called them?
Thank you

I would not call them for at least another month. They will not give you any status information anyway (apart from whether a decision has been made, but even then will not tell if it it was positive). If they need anything from you, they will get in touch.

However, i am interested to know about personal experiences.

Thank you

Timmy41, each case is treated on its own merits. It may not necessarily be helpful for you to compare with others. Remember, it takes time for UKBA to correspond with all the relevant parties (the official receiver in your case), so please be patient (although it must be hard).
