Worker - job seeker

HI guys,
I am EEA member who first come to UK over 6 yrs a go. Since then I was working for 4.5 yrs with no break and I got P60/letters from employer to confirm that.
Then in 2009 I have move back home (outside UK) for 4-5 months due to family reasons. In May 2009 I came back to UK and started to look for new job in UK which I manage to find in August 2009. During this time I was living in my friends house and didn't claim any benefits.
My question is:
Between May 2009 and August 2009 I was looking for a new job. Can I state in my application that I was 'worker' - job seeker during this time and this will save me all the hassle with CSI etc? and provide HO with interview letters etc to prove that I was exercising treaty right during this time?
I would appreciate your help with my question.
Thanks
M.
