Hi,
I remember when we applied for ILR it was ok to apply in the last month of the qualifying period. Is it the same with naturalization? Or can you only apply exactly one year after you were given ILR? For example, granted on June 30 2010, can only apply for ILR on June 30 2010 or after. Or can I apply earlier in June?

on 30June or afterwards...not earlier as you have to fulfill the required residency without restrictions (aka ILR).

Also make sure that you meet the standard requirements as well on 30 June. You can find those requirements here.

There is another condition, exactly 5 years prior to the date you're submitting your naturalisation application, you have to be physically present in the UK, so 5 yr ago, even if you had gone away for 3 days to paris for a short holiday, you should not apply.
