mom was british citizen when i was born in southern rodesia

Am I entitled to British citizenship ? My gran is English born my mom was born in southafrica but my gran registered her as a British citizen and I was born in salsibery southern rodesia, can I apply for citizenship ? At the moment I'm living in the uk as I am entitled to an ancestry visa this is my 5th year and just found out I might be able to apply for citizenship, could someone please help ?
