i got ILR on 10 year long residence.

do i need to wait 12 months for citizenship?

i heard that my friend was here more than 5 yr and he married and when he got ILR after 1 week he applied for citizenship and got it.

is it possible? i am not sure if he told me true.

as i am here over 10 yr. can i apply for citizenship now? or i need to wait 1 more yr after ILR?

please advise.....

You should wait for at least 1 year after the grant of IlR, unless you're the spouse or civil partner of a British citizen, or your ILR application took an exceptionally long time to be decided.
