Hello Everyone,

Under " Standard requirements for naturalisation" in http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/briti ... uirements/

clearly states that

"If you are a national of a country in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, or you are the family member of such a person, you will automatically have permanent residence status if you have exercised EEA free-movement rights in the UK for a continuous five-year period ending on or after 30 April 2006. You do not need to apply for leave to remain. You should have held permanent residence status for 12 months before you apply for naturalisation. "

I fall under this category and applied for PR status after completeing 5 yrs this april. Assuming i recieve a response in 6 months that is Oct 2011, I will complete 6 yrs in Feb 2012 does this mean i can apply for Naturalisation in Feb 2012 or should i wait for Oct 2012 to apply for Naturalisation.

Anyone with any knowledge on this please help.

Cheers,
Bazdia

February 2012 assuming you can prove the 5 years leading to PR (which I guess you could if you granted a PR).
Form AN used for naturalisation has a specific section for EEA nationals (or family members) exercising EC Treaty Rights
