almost six months and still waiting

Applied on the 26th JAN 11
Through NCS Merton (5yrs Workpermit, 1 yr ILR)
Called UKBA a couple of times from after 2 months onwards
and all i get is " decision hasnt been made yet''
or still ''awaiting decision''
or still " awaiting consideration" (on the 6th July)
Never did the conversation lead to or anything about caseworker''
I work full time. My wife who stays at home with my one year old kid. i get child tax credit and child benefit.
Is there anyone in the forum with a similar situation???

You should consider writing them a letter to find out why it is taking so long.

yes wright a letter and also send them a self adresed envelop so they can reply you qicker if they need any more documents or any assistence so please writhe them and dont forget to quat your ref. number. goodluck

Hi Mohammad,
I would suggest you to call them. Cause I applied in first week of April 2011 through NCS, and got approval along with ceremony letter after 6 weeks although the NCS told me it can take 6 months as UKBA has a big backlog of applications.

Thank you all for your concerns and suggestions. Alhamdulillah i have good news. Yesterday i received an approval from UKBA. It was a really long wait ! Absolutely relieved now. Still dont know why it took sooo long
I called them ten days ago, but the reply from the other side wasnt very encouraging and he said that six months "isnt the maximum time" !!??
as they say ,all is well that ends well. I pray that all those who are waiting get their positive reponses quickly too
