My Friend is 21 years old, her father was born in Cyprus in the year 1955 when Cyprus were british colony and her grand parends also been born and living in this country. But later her father has married an turkish women and has became turkish citizen, now her father and she are turkish citizens.

İs it any possiblity there that she may become british citizen, british subjct or something equivalent to british citizen?

Thank you very much for your answer!

Don't think your friend's father was British citizen at the time your friend was born. If that was true, and unless special circumstances, most cypriots could have been British citizens, which is of course not true.

The key here is whether your friend's father had the right to abode in the UK in in 1983. The fact that her father is now a Turkish citizen has nothing to do with this.

BTW - Why not apply for Cypriot citizenship (since Cyprus is part of the EU)?

I'm no expert in Cypriot nationality law but googled a little, for example:

Looks like it may be possible . . .
