Hi All,

Can anyone please let me know the processing time for Registration and applying for British Passport for a child born in UK. Please help me so that we can plan for India. (Applying through Barnet (living) or Camden (Hospital born and birth certificate). I will decide which borough I have to apply later.

I applied for my daugther under section 1(3) (same as your ) on 8-June-2011 using NCS services and still waiting.
Called them few time and was told that it may take upto 4-6 months.

For MN1 applications timeline see here. In the past it took 3-4 weeks. Nowadays it seems more like 1-2 months.

1st passport for a child takes about 3 weeks.
