Hi,
I have a friend of mine who works as a Physiotherapist in the NHS. This friend claims she belongs to Chartered Society of Physiotherapy(CSP) as listed out in the below said URL,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pr ... ed_Kingdom
My Doubt is whether the members of this CSP can be considered as members of Professional Standing?
Should i request her Membership Number to be written in the Referral sheet to support the authenticity of the Referral.
Experienced Guru's and other members, Please Suggest.
Kind Regards

Hi,
I just called the Nationality Contact Centre and they say, they only accept the ones mentioned in the Annex A to Chapter 6.
http://www.gov.im/lib/docs/cso/immigrat ... ferees.pdf
I am now confused whether my friend would be eligible to be a referee. She is practicing as as a Physiotherapist in the NHS. Not sure whether she will fall under the "Nurse" Category as mentioned in the list of referees pdf.
Kind Regards

Physiotherapist Vs Nurse, 2 separate professions, so guess your friend will not be applicable

Well, they do not have doctors on this list but they are recognised as referes, so the list is not comprehensive.
Your query to them should be- will you accept Physiotherapist in NHS- as it is a profession similar to ' Chiropodist '. Worth asking this clearly if you dont have any other referee. Do mention about ' doctors' if you are referred to the List again.
My Doubt is whether the members of this CSP can be considered as members of Professional Standing?
Yes, should be acceptable
Good luck

Old thread, but a thought (correct if i am wrong) -
I think Physiotherapy is a practice and Practitioners are mentioned in the list of professions to act as a referee. So i believe this should be fine.

No point in posting advice in a 6 year old thread. I'm sure the OP has resolved the issue of referees by now
