Hi,

I am busy finalising my application for British citizenship and am having issues with the referee section. I have no referees I can turn to on the list of acceptable referees who exactly fit the bill (if I'm looking at the latest and correct list).

Question: how strict are they on this? Also I have quite a few friends who are Biomedical Scientists and registered with the Health Professions Council - would one of them be able to be a referee? I am equating this to nurses who can.

Yes, they should be ok, at least one must be British.

Does someone who is a Head Chef with a UK passport count as my first referee?
