First passport lost

Hi there,
I lost my first passport 2 years back, been to police , sorted the new one out and got my ILR last year. I presented the homeoffice with my job letters for the last 5 years to confirm that i haven't left the country for more than the allowed days.
As i will be applying for citizenship next month, my question is..can i show them the photocopy of job letters as an alternate to the lost passport again? As the original job letters were kept by the home office during my ILR interview. ILR is stamped on my new passport but i was told that they need to see old passports anyway.
What other documents can i provide as an alternate to prove my residence for qualifying period? any reports from govt office ?
Please help
