Hi I came to UK on 7 yrs ago, but became dependant 5 (Jan 2007) yrs ago.

In application what date should I write? When I became dependant or when I actually first arrived?

I got PR in Feb and eligible for BC Feb 12.

thanks for help.

Give the date as the start date of the visa on which your ILR application was based, I'm guessing that will be Jan 2007.

The question asks about date of first arrival to the UK so if you came 7 years ago with intentions to stay in the UK (i.e. not on a visitor visa), I would put that date.

Hi I came as student and transferred to dependant visa. So I should put the date when I first arrived to UK i.e as student.

thanks.

Hi in guide it says below
2.1 Enter the day you first arrived with a view to staying in the UK on a long-term basis,

I cam to UK in 2000 but I went to home to change my visa type from student to dependant in 2006, which is now just more than 5 yrs.

So please adivse should I write when I re-entered to UK as dependant of WP holder or as a student.

thanks.

I presume you are applying based on dependent status. So it might be better to write 2006 and explain in page 13 about your previous stay.
