Hi

Bit of a silly question, but I am applying for BC next week. Applying as a spouse of British Citizen.

I have been in the exactly 3 years on the 21/01/2012, If I post my letter on the 19/01/2012 and send it next day post, It will get there on the 20/01/2012, would it be a problem to arrive 1 day early? The reason I ask is because it says it must be received 3 years to the day of arriving in the UK.

Many thanks

It would be problem if it arrives one day early as there is no discretion in this requirement. However, in your case it doesn't arrive a day early it arrive exactly on the completion of the 3 year period (the 21/01/2012 is already day 1 in your 4th year in the UK).

Why not send it a few days later to avoid the risk of rejection?

Exactly what I thought ... OP spent over 1000 days in the UK and why risk it for a few days.
