Naturalisation immediately after ILR?

Hello,

I hope someone out there can help me with this!

My Situation:
I am not an EEA citizen and am married to a UK ciizen. I have been on a spouse visa since Oct 2011.(Prior to this I was on a Work Permit/Tier 1 from Oct 2007 to Oct 2011)
I intend to apply for ILR in Oct 2013 at the completion of 2 years on spouse visa, ideally using the same-day service.

My Questions:
1)From what I understand, I can apply for naturalisation as soon as I have the ILR confirmed (ie if successful in Oct/Nov 13) as I would have been resident in the UK for atleast 3 years before that, and free from immigration time restrictions at time of application. Am I correct in thinking this?

2)Is there any way I can apply for ILR and naturalisation simultaneously in Oct 2013?

Thanks a lot!!!! :):)

1. One of the requirement to apply for citizenship is you have to be on ILR for the last 12 months so you can not apply for citizenship until 2014 (exactly after 12 months after ILR).

2. No

that is incorrect in the case of a person married to a British citizen. See this post for guidance

ILR and Naturalisation are dealt in two separate departments. Therefore I don't think you can apply simultaneously. But if you are going to apply for ILR in a PEO you will get it the same day. Immediately after that you can apply at local NCS for naturalisation
