Can someone please confirm that I need not send MY passport with MN1 application (postal) for my daughter born in UK (no ILR stamp yet)? I have just received ILR stamp and she was born in 2009.
Thanks

I can confirm that you need to send at least one parent passport with the application. Otherwise, how would you prove her claim of entitlement to register as a British Citizen?

That is what I thought. But on reading the guide for MN1 application no where it states I need to send mine.

see page 29 and 30
child has been living in UK since birth. Both parents now have ILR.
Please help!

The guide is not well designed for a UK born child to a ILR holder parent applying under section 1(3). It's more designed for BC children who are not British from birth and then can register as such.
The guide also asks for the marriage certificate which is not needed if applied under section 1(3).
You need to provide:
- Proof of parent 'settled' status (passport, HO confirmation).
- Child UK birth certificate
That's all.
