Am I an overstayer?- could somebody please help

Post by ajek01 » Wed Aug 08, 2012 5:19 pm

Could somebody please help with the following query-

My student visa expired on last 30 April 2012, I have applied for my extension on 25th April 2012. All documents received by home office before my visa expired (30 April 2012). But then home office returned all the documents, letter dated 19 May 2012, asking me to provide further documents, within 15 days of letter date. I then again provided all the documents on 01 June 2012. Got my visa on 19 July 2012.

My question is, given my situation above, will I be treated as an overstayer by any chance? Basically I am going to apply for my ILR next year and I am just planning ahead whether there will be any problem with the above extension gaps that I had.

Will really appreciate if somebody could clarify the situation.
