Hi Guys
I will be applying for my ILR under the 10 year long residency category later this week. Just wanted the seniors to glance over my time line and my case to make sure I have everything in order. Will appreciate your help.
Below is my time line of visas;
Entered Uk on student visa on 10 Sept 2002
Visa transferred onto new passport in November 2004
Applied for visa extension under student category 31 Aug 2006 - Student visa expiry date was 30 Sept 2006. This got rejected due to insufficient documents.
Reapplied on 4 oct 2006 and visa granted 20 Nov 2006 – This was 3 days out of time application so hopefully will be awarded discretion under the rule of one out of time application within 10 days.
After this period I have had all my applications in time. I was granted visa under International Graduate Scheme, then under Tier 1 General Migrant in 2008. Extended my Tier 1 visa last year and is due to expire Aug 2013.
I have also lost my first passport on which I entered Uk in 2002. So that covered a period of 2 years until I got my visa transferred into new passport. For this I will be providing letter from Uni to state that I was on full time course, front pages of bank statements to show activity. Do you think this will be enough? I have also checked SAR and they hold information about my first entry into UK.
In addition will supply the following documents: Application, photos, Current and previous passport, LIUK test certificate, Cover letter just to mention this lost passport bit and the out of time application. I think I don’t need to submit anything else? I have not been out of the country for long periods as well, so am with in the limits. Do you think this is a straight forward case?
Will appreciate your time and help.
