ILR on uk born child

Post by kya1104 » Wed Oct 03, 2012 11:33 pm

could someone direct me to what documents I need to prepare for getting ILR
for a UK born child please?

In case of both parents being granted ILR, I still would like to get ILR for my daughter before applying for a citizenship.

As she is a minor, what documents do I need to prepare? bank statements, evidence of cohabitation etc...

Thank you very much in advance!

And the immigration status of the parents is ..... ?
Have the parents already applied for settlement?
Has the child applied for a leave to remain in the past?
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

I have applied for ILR for my daughter in march 2013 and its now been 8 month waiting. Herdependent visa has expired in June.

I and my ex both are ILR holders hence i thought the application would be quite straightforward but its taking really long.

my question is:

if the application is to come back as refused in any circumstances, what choice would i have? Would i be able to apply for my daughter's citizenship, as she was eligible to do so instead of ILR and she no longer holds any visa now?

so appreciate for any replies to this...
thank you very much in advance

1. Why did you not just register your child as British and 2. Why did you not apply on SET(F)?

Hi, Amber

it was a personal reason that i decided not to apply for a citizenship for my daughter at that time. Sorry my mistake, yeah it was SET(F).

what option do i have please?

Ask your MP to chase the application. You can also register your child anytime you wish, there is not need to wait for the ILR.

alternately you could withdraw your daughter's ILR application and make a fresh Registration application.

or am i wrong, experts?
