What was the EC date for your first WP in 2007? & What date did you first enter the UK on it?Ravi116 wrote:Hi,
I am very new to this forum. Apologies if following question had been asked before.
- I got my first WP in Nov 2007
- Then I joined another company in Jan 2008 (HR from new company transferred my WP).
- Then I got Tier 1 (General ) in April 2010 (working for same employer)
I have been in full time employment since Nov 2007 - till date
Would I be able to apply for ILR now?
If yes, Do I need to apply as a Tier 1 (General) applicant?
Your advise is much appreciated.
Thanks

If you are eligible for ILR, then yes you would apply as a Tier 1 General migrant.
If you meet the allowed absence threshold for ILR then you would be eligible to apply for ILR upto 28 days before 8 Nov 2012 (I.e. 5th anniversary from WP Valid from date). So in effect you should be able to apply now if you meet all other requirements for ILR as detailed in the SET(O) form and guidance.Ravi116 wrote:Thanks for your reply.cs95tdg wrote:What was the EC date for your first WP in 2007? & What date did you first enter the UK on it?Ravi116 wrote:Hi,

Thanks a lot for your help.
Sorry last question my second WP got date valid from may 2008 to May 2013. Will it make any difference?
Cheers
Based on the information you have provided my understanding is that you would be applying for ILR based on your UK residence (5 years as an economic migrant) covering the periods on your 1st WP + 2nd WP + Current T1G Visa. The 5 year residence period would begin when you first switched to a WP in Nov 2007. Your 2nd WP would have been cancelled when you switched to T1 G and it's expiry date has no bearing on when you become eligible for ILR.Ravi116 wrote:Sorry last question my second WP got date valid from may 2008 to May 2013. Thanks a lot for your reply. I will start preparing my application now.cs95tdg wrote:Based on the information you have provided my understanding is that you would be applying for ILR based on your UK residence (5 years as an economic migrant) covering the periods on your 1st WP + 2nd WP + Current T1G Visa. I'd like to clarify something to make sure I've given you the correct information. When you say the date of issue of your first WP was 8 Nov 2007, was this the date given in the WP visa vignette in your passport (I.e. not the approval date on your actual WP)? I ask this as the ILR eligibility date calculation I did was based on this.Ravi116 wrote:Thanks a lot for your reply.
