Post by ramadnk » Sat Jan 19, 2013 10:01 pm

Hi, I want all your opinion on applying for settlement in September 2013, below are my details,
entered UK on Tier 1 general,
1, Visa valid from 20 Oct 2008, entered UK on 10 Nov 2008.
2, Applied for jobs and attended few interviews and got selected for a company, but took time for reference check.
3. mean while I was in india starting from 23 March 2009 to 27 July 2009 ( 4 months).
4. since 27th July 2009, I am outside the UK only for annual paid leaves (less than 45 days every year).

Please post your opinion regards to my case.

Thanks in advance...

It should not be a problem. The absence was not huge.

Thanks Obie, Just wanted to confirm with you, first entered UK on 10 Novemenber 2008 and left UK on 23 March 2009, in between I was not working and I was just attending interview's. I got a confirmation and offer letter from a comapny to join, and then I returned to UK on 26 July. (23rd March to 26 July) I was outside UK.

Considereding these things, will I be considered as resident in UK since November 2008?

Please let me know what you think..

Thanks,

Can some one confirm me that, Tier 1 General visa holder in the UK ( without employed) is considered as a continuous resident in UK, if yes how many days of stay in the UK without employment is considered.

My case, I'm in the UK without employment from November 10 th 2008 to March 24 th 2009, after that absent from the country until 27 July 2009 (from 24 th March to 27 July 2009). and working since then (27 July 2009).

will my UK residence considered from 10th November 2008.

Please some one let me know...

Thanks

For the second part of your question, download/read and work your way through the SetO form (free) from UKBA website.
