Previous Earnings Query

Post by chelsea2014 » Sat Jul 27, 2013 7:27 am

Hi

I have my PEO appointment next week and would like to clarify some last minute queries:

I have seen lots of post stating Previous Earnings to be Average gross salary for last 12 months: £xxx (xx points) and Evidence attached: (i) Payslips and (ii) Bank statements

What I do not understand is how does is bank statement evidence when it will only show payment made after tax and other deductions since gross pay is before tax and other deductions which is captured in pay slips.

The net pay on payslip is derived after deducting tax and ni from gross. Hence the if the net pay on payslip and bank statement are matching, means that gross declared is correct. It's just to prove that you are paid and is evidenced by two different sources.
