A little help please... (proof of entry)

Post by wickedsam » Sun Aug 04, 2013 12:37 pm

My uk ancestral visa started on 1st oct 2008.

Just before entrying the UK on the 1st oct 2008, I visted a friend in dublin, ireland for 3 weeks. Ireland stamped a visting visa 30 days next to the uk ancstral page.

Then when I entered the country on the 1st oct 2008, there was no border partol to stamp my passport, so I just entered the country without the stamp... thinking nothing of it.

Then in 2010 I went to italy on holiday, then border partol ask why it wasnt stamped and I explained, however after explaining they stamped the ancestral visa with a 2010 date...

Will this be a problem when applying for ILR now in september 2013?

The date I arrived was correct, but now I don't have the correct date stamped to prove when I arrived... will this be a problem, and if so, how can I fix it?

You could always include proof of your flight landing/travel ticket showing when you landed/entered in the UK if you have concerns.

The only flight proof I have is a email confirmation that I bought the ticket. That doesn't really show that I entered on the 1 Oct 08, it only shows my intention of entering.

Any ideas?
