he has ILR last year and he is now outside the UK and working in USA.he has 2 year old son who lives with his grandmother. His son wana come to see him in December and then go back to UK.The child mother is not living with husband and separated.
he wants to do same day service of ILR for his son who was born in the UK.
he is unable to attend his son ILR application because of work nature
is it possible if he book same day ILR for his son and solicitor will go with him and his grandmother will attend biometric??
do his son need father passport and biometric card to get his ILR?
can anybody tell me if it is possible that his son can get ILR without his being present with him?
please advice ..ASAP

Probably not possible without the ILR holder being present in the UK. However, it's better for his UK-born son to
register as a British citizen.

For himself or for his son? Note that an adult applies for
naturalisation. A child applies for
registration.

i mean if my friend send back his passport and Biometric card to UK to assist his son application for ILR will it possible that his son can go with grandmother and solicitor along with father passport.
As at the Home Office solicitor can send back clients and case worker normally don't come to see applicants themselves and after biometric they themself ask solicitor that their client are free to go.
please advice

There's no need to
shout.
There's probably no point in applying for his son's ILR. It will simply cease to exist once the holder becomes a British citizen (
46).

Sorry I didn't mean to shout .
What I under stand if the application for register as British is pending then his son's ILR application will cease existing application and he needs to make new application for son to register as British in other words he can't make 2 Applications same time ???
Am I right

If an ILR holder is granted British citizenship, then the ILR will cease (
46).

Yes. An ILR application makes no difference to child's entitlement.
