ILR for dual nationality

Post by sunnystar » Wed Feb 05, 2014 8:30 am

Hello everyone,

Could a person with dual nationality (British and Malaysian for example) apply for ILR? Assume he is not willing to have a British passport, and the Malaysian passport is his only travel document so he needs a visa to prove his residence rights in the UK to foreign and UK authorities.

No. British citizens cannot apply for leave. However, a British citizen without a British passport may apply for a CoERoA.
