P60/P800

Good evening,

Can anyone advise? Will the Home Office accept a p800 from HMRC as evidence of total earnings for tax year 15/16? I was made redundant so did not receive a p60 as I normally would from my employer at the end of the tax year.

My husband and I are a long way off this but I thought I'd ask the question, trying to be as prepared as possible.
