Preparation for Ilr

Post by shankar2015 » Sun Jun 12, 2016 1:56 pm

Salam brothers and sisters.
My wife successfully got her spouse visa in July 2015 and she has been living with me in UK ever since, she came from Pakistain. I just wanted now to get advice on what documents etc we should be generating. She has doctors letters, NI number, voting etc for past year and I now want to prepare for the next year.

She cannot apply for Ilr till 5 years and I believe she needs to renew after 2.5 years her current spouse visa.

Can someone give me some pointers on what I should be doing?

Don't want to have problems at end.

Thanks in advance

Page 63/64 of the FLR(M) form gives a good idea of what HO expects to see (council tax, utility bills, tenancy agreement etc etc)

She has to meet ALL the same requirements when she applies for extension as she did when she applied for her initial visa (English and Financial). Best to check nearer the time if there have been any changes as HO do make changes on English often, i.e. from October, A2 English level will be required and not A1.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you have any info on what is required for A2 language?
