When to apply for ILR

Post by manjumanoj » Fri Oct 13, 2017 4:12 pm

Hi All,

My husband came in 2015 june and was having tier2 general visa. And I joined him in 2016 feb. As my employer was ready to sponsor me, I changed to main applicant and my husband became my dependent.

As he was already in tier 2 visa, will he be able to apply for ILR by 2020? Or is it based upon the duration we have been here for the new visa?

Thanks,
Manju

No he cannot.
Or is it based upon the duration we have been here for the new visa?
He cannot combine the time on the two different visa categories to make up 5 years. It must be 5 years as PBS dependent or 5 years as Tier 2 G main applicant.
