Hey gurus,
I need some help and have a question. Any help will be valuable and appreciated.
Me, my two brothers and mother came as PBS Dependents of my father who was a T4 Student. Recently, he was granted ILR on the basis of long residence (SET) (LR) at a PEO!
My question is that is our (dependents) recent visa which expires in Jun 2018 still valid even though our main applicant has ILR. It is because of our father we have received our Dependents visas for the last 9 years and is our current limited leave still valid? We are due our own settlement statuses next year on the basis of LR as well but we are relying on our current dependent visa to complete the 10 years legal period.
I have heard it is totally fine to exhaust this visa as we have no travel plans and we can all apply for ILR individually next year. Is the true? Or is it best to switch to another category (FLR) since we no longer remain as dependents of our father and apply for ILR when we finish the qualifying period.
My brain tells me to stay on this Dependent visa as it completes our 10 year period anyway but I want to be safe and cause no delays from Home Office when we apply for ILR. Please help.
Many thanks,
Faraz
