ILR visa for dependent child born in UK

Hi All

I have applied for ILR (Tier 1 Ent 5 years route). I have filed ILR application only for me and my wife. HO has asked for the reason why I have not applied visa for my daughter.

Please note that my initial visa was granted in 2013 and daughter was born in 2014 and was included in my extension application.

I know several cases where my family members have applied for ILR (via the window) and not applied for their children. Is there any reference for any guidance/law which I can refer to them?

Will appreciate a quick response.

Simply reply to HO stating that you intend to register the child as a British citizen under Section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act once your ILR is approved.

It is a standard question due to the child having an existing visa according to HO records and not being included in your ILR application.

Yes it is fairly common for HO to query. All to do with child safety/protection etc.

No it should not delay your application.

When did u apply for ILR ?
I also applied under same route and did not include my british born child . They never ask me anything regarding this . I clearly mentioned on the cover letter the reason of his not applying.

Maybe you did not mention in cover letter, thats why they wanted to confirm.
