ILR (New Process) - T2 General - Document List

Post by anub2016 » Wed Feb 13, 2019 9:23 pm

Hi,

* Could someone please advise on a Definitive (Must-Provide) list of Documents required to support the ILR Application (Tier 2 General) based on the latest changes that came into force in November 2018?

* I am currently on T2 General Visa valid from '8 March 2016' to '27 Feb 2021' and I entered the UK on '12 March 2016'.

For the first two months, I lived in a Temporary Accommodation where the Rent included all the Utilities as well. The proper Tenancy started only on 9 May 2016 and as such my first Council Tax Bill also reflects the Start Date as 9 May 2016.

Could you please advise if the Continuous Residence Proof is required to be submitted for the entire duration of the Visa and if yes, what should I provide for those first two months as the Rent Agreement was provided as a Soft (PDF) copy which was not even hand-signed by the Agency?

I would be really grateful if the Experts/Moderators could also provide their comments on this please.

Many Thanks.

ILR - T2 General - Maternity Exemption Certificate

Post by anub2016 » Wed Feb 13, 2019 9:31 pm

Hi,

Could you please advise if Maternity Exemption Certificate and any related Maternity Service from the NHS will be treated as recourse to Public Funds for an ILR Application of a Tier 2 General migrant?

I would be really grateful if the Experts/Moderators could also provide their comments on this please.

Many Thanks.

DO NOT start new post for each question :!: Stick to one post for all your ILR related questions
Read the Settlement section of the Tier 2 guide: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... r-2-worker
There is no requirement to prove residency with evidence :?
Maternity pay is not public funds

My question around Maternity for a T2 General migrant was not around the Statutory Maternity Pay (which I believe does not count as Public Fund) but was regarding the Maternity Exemption Certificate which is provided by the GP or Midwife and entitles you to Free Prescriptions and NHS Dental Care for 12 months.

https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questi ... criptions/

Would the Maternity Exemption Certificate be treated as recourse to Public Funds?

Also, regarding my question around the Continuous Period, if there is no requirement to prove Residency with evidence, I wonder why do people provide Council Tax Bills, Rent Agreements etc. to support the Application. Are those documents required to satisfy other requirements of the Application? And do they need to cover the entire period from the Date of Entry into the UK upto the Date of Application of ILR?

Please advise.

Many Thanks.

No. All UK residents have free access to the NHS benefits and treatments

PBS migrants do not need to provide such evidence.
You may be mixing the cohabitation evidence for PBS dependants (and that is only for two years)

Thank you for clarifying this Zimba.

* Could you please highlight what Documents are required to prove the Cohabitation evidence for PBS Dependants?

* Are there any NHS Services which are treated as Recourse to Public Funds for Tier 2 Migrants?

Many Thanks.

This has been asked and answered 100s of times. Documents such as tenancy agreement, utility bills, HMRC letters, NHS letters, Council tax etc etc.

No.
