Quick Specific ILR 10 year Qs

Post by Harrycrr » Wed Apr 10, 2019 5:40 am

Hi guys,

Love this forum has helped me for many years. Hopefully this is the last time I’ll ever need to deal with the HO as im finally applying for ILR on 10 year route

3 years ago it was refused and I won the right to stay for 2.5 years on appeal. I was granted a permit for 2.5 years and have now fulfilled all their continuous residency requirements.

My Qs

1) do I need to provide a police registration certificate? I see no mention of it. I have one, but the latest two addresses in last two years were not updated. My 2.5 year BRP made no mention on the back to do so, so now I’m not sure whether to mention at all? Should I risk going to the station and telling them of changed address this late?

2) is there any requirement of income. I have a part time job as well as in the process of registering self employed for some other income. But haven’t registered yet because I do not owe the HMRC the money until next year. This is for very recent work that I have been paid for but not sure whether to mention it if I don’t have a UTR yet.

3) my final absence from the uk was last year, I went to Prague for 10 days for work. This is the self employed work. I’m worried if I have the reason for travel stayed as work they will assume that it’s not relating to my normal day
job. And expect a UTR even though I’m not due to pay this until April next year.

4) I’m seeing in general less documents now. There seem to be hardly any at all. What happened to all the character references, all previous addresses etc...

Thanks people

You are awesome

1. No.

2. No there isn't

3. You are overthinking. You aren't applying for a work visa. Simply state your absences as the form requires.

4. There never was such a requirement for ILR especially not long residence ILR.

ILR 10 Year Route / first date of entry

Post by Harrycrr » Wed Apr 17, 2019 10:05 pm

Hi Guys,

Really quick one here.

For the Q: When did you first arrive in the UK?

Do I put my original entry which was as a student in 2001? or Do I subtract 10 years from now and put that date instead.

I had absecnces exceeding the 540 days when I originally applied in 2016. This gap has now come into their limits and I am fine to apply, just not sure that if I put 2001 they will count it wrong.

Thanks guys,

H
