We submitted an ILR application in Dec 2019 and were only given the standard option and super priority service at £800 for a decision in 1 day. I recently learned there is now a £500 priority service to get a decision in 5 days.
While both fees are still extortionate on top of the ILR application fee and UKVAS appointment fee, £500 is slightly more palatable. Is it possible to "upgrade" an existing application (already submitted online and completed biometrics) to the priority service?
We didn't actually think the standard application would take 6 months but looking at the timeline thread, that seems to be the case...

To answer myself, it seems it's not possible, judging from other posts for standard to super priority.
It seems a bit unfair though, as surely there will be more priority + super priority applications from now on, meaning those applying after us will jump the queue and push us back more. Oh well. c'est la vie.

Priority option is usually for point based system visa holders and not all other categories.
Many members are only getting standard option these days due to no availability for the others.

The OP applied via the 5 years spouse settlement visa, not any of the PBS routes.

That's right. Set (M).
I see now, thanks for the correction. I didn't (still don't) know what the different categories are. I incorrectly assumed the applications in the main ILR timeline thread were equivalent to each other, as saw SET(LR) was separate.
