Leave to remain - DLA public fund advise

Post by Mehbeel » Tue Dec 16, 2025 1:42 pm

Hi ,
I am on spouse visa and now completed 5 years and applying ILR
I have a child (british) and my husband is british,
My son has a disability and i applied DLA for him and i am the appointee on his claim and the payments come in to my bank account,
I spoke to DWP and was told my child is entitled to it and the
Money is being paid for him and i had provided them my BRP which states NRPF ( no recourse to public fund)

I am applyING ILR , i am just confused i spoke to an agent at home office advising me that i attach a letter explaining that the DLA is for my son and he is entitled to it and this should be ok ?
Spoke to 3 different immigration solicitor and was told the same that to attach a letter and this should be ok

Can anyone please advise

A letter is not needed. This should have no effect on your ILR
