10 Year Long Residence ILR

Hi There,
For my 10-year long residence application, do I need to provide payslips and bank statements? If yes, how many months should I provide?

I receive my salary in cash rather than through a bank transfer. In this situation, what supporting evidence would you recommend I submit to strengthen my application? Can I add HMRC pay details?

Secondly, my husband is a British citizen. Once I obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain through the 10-year long residence route, do I need to wait 12 months before applying for British citizenship, or can I apply for naturalisation immediately as the spouse of a British citizen?

Please guide me.

The long residence route has no income requirement. Your employment is irrelevant for ILR under this route.

You can apply to naturalise right after you become settled.

I would like your guidance on applying for the priority service. Should we consider the entry date into the UK or the visa stamp date for this application? My visa was stamped on June 12, 2016, and I entered the UK on June 21, 2016.

Here are the documents we are attaching to the application:

1. Scans of all old and new passports, including all stamped pages
2. Life in the UK test certificate
3. PhD degree (as proof of English language proficiency)
4. Marriage certificate
5. Mutual and individual correspondence for the last two years (Bank Statement, Vote/poll card, mortgage docs, HMRC letter)
6. Husband's British passport
7. Daughter's British passport and birth certificate
8. Correspondence letter for my daughter's address
9. Share code (UK status)
10. Absence chart (detailing time spent outside the UK)

When we pay the £3,226 application fee online during the application process, will we have the option to select the super priority or priority service afterwards? Is there an additional fee for this service?

Please let us know if we missed any documents.

Additionally, can we pay the fee now, even before the ten-year due date?

You can calculate the earliest date of eligibility by using the very first visa issue date, so (June 12, 2016 + 10 years - 28 days)

You are sending lots of unnecessary evidence. Under the long residence, you apply on your own and you must qualify on your own. Your relationships/family details are NOT relevant at all. You do not need to send any evidence regarding them or any correspondence evidence.

You just need to send the passport copies covering the last 10 years, evidence of English language and Life in the UK.

Only the standard and super priority option is offed under the long residence. You’ll need to pay £1,000 in addition to the application fee if you choose the super priority service.

Thank you for your detailed reply. I appreciate that.

I have completed the form SET(LR), which states that at the end, the docs need to be submitted.

1. Evidence of Relationship (Marriage Certificate)
2. Last 2 years Crosspondence
3. Evidence of the child's birth
4. Documents of child status (Passport)
5. Husband's Passport

But does not say the English language and Life in the UK TEST docs. When I completed the form, i have added the Life in the UK ref. number.

Is that right?

I have double-checked the form SET (LR), and in the fee section, the fee shows as £3226.

Please let me know your thoughts.

It is known that the document list is inaccurate for SET(LR) as those documents are NOT required at all.

SET(LR) has nothing to do with your dependants/partner/children. You must apply on your own and qualify on your own.

Priority service has NOTHING to do with your appointment. It is a visa processing service offered by the UKVI. So it is an added fee to a standard application fee. You get this option BEFORE paying and submission of your application online. It seems you chose and paid for a standard application. You cannot change this now.

I told you above that the super priority option appears only if UKVI has capacity.

I made a mistake in paying the fee for the standard application service.

I applied for a refund the same day (06 June 20206), but I haven't received it yet.

Can I make a fresh application and pay for the priority service? Refund will come up later.

Is that fine to do that?

Yes. Refunds could take several weeks. Applying again is possible but do not wait for a refund
