Postal ILR success

Post by tonytee » Tue Apr 13, 2010 7:32 am

I just got my ILR (POSTAL) and since it was rather complex, felt i should share it.

It was under HSMP (JR). Came to the UK in 2006 but saw shuttling to and fro my home country and spent only about six months in as i did not get work quicky. However i made sure thatnone of my trips lasted more than 90 days -infact one was 83 days., Had a 1-year extention instead of 3 years in 2007 because of 'limited ecomnomic activity'. Applied under the 'Transitional arrangeemnt for self employed' in 2007 and got a 3-year extension.

When due for ILR, I had lost my original passport and also had a speeding fine, but applied and enclosed payslips for 3 months and bank statement for 1 year. Also included copies of my lost passport to confirm initial entry date and copies of boarding passes and/tickets for my trips above (which were many). Ialso indicated that my speding fine was statutorily a fixed penalty but was through a court as i was on an international licence. My ILR application was under employment and i got the ILR in about five weeks - with my dependants.

I give GOD all the glory.
