Hi, I am on unmarried partners visa and it expires less than a week and planning to apply ILR this time by post.

My partner is a british citizen, arrested last year and served for 7 and half month and on probation currently. I was in the current address when it happened and I supported him through the course of imprisonment. We are still together living in the same place. My question is that whether I should disclose this to HO in my application covering letter. I believe the SET(M) does not ask the partner's conviction, I would like to know how I should handle this matter. Luckly for us he got a job within a week since the release and we never received any benefit as such. I'd like to do this application on my own if possible. I will be grateful for any input on anyone who's been in my position or a professional advice. Thank you.
