can someone please help me!
i will like to know how long it take for home office to reply, because i want to transfere my indefinite in my passport so i can travel for december but people tell me it take about 6months to reply if i do it by post.

Your post should be in Indefinite Leave to Remain forum or perhaps the General UK Immigration forum.

It was in the Europe immigration forum, which wasn't appropriate as this concerns Europe Immigration, excluding the UK and Ireland.

Travel with both passports - one with the ILR stamp and the current one (new). No problem!
If you apply by post, we cannot tell in advance how long it will take to decide your application, so you should not make non-urgent travel plans until we have returned your passport to you.
But if you do wish to transfer the visa to your new passport, use NTL form and apply in-person at a Public Enquiry Office.

what i meant is that when i got my idefinite i never had a passport so they send on A4 paper , so im asking now do i have to transfere it to my new passport which i have now, or i can travel with it like that

An Immigration Status Document (ISD - vignette on separate paper) may prove a problem when applying for visa to travel to other countries as some countries require that the UK residency permit / visa be affixed in the applicant's passport.
