ILR success 5th July 2011 with 270 days absences

Post by abc_1979 » Wed Jul 06, 2011 2:39 pm

Thanks a lot for all senior members and moderators who has given their extensive knowledge in this forum.
Yesterday i went for my ILR and it was successful. I was really worried because i had about 270 days of absences in 5 years, but half of them were business trips. All 5 years with 1 Employer.

Category : WP + HSMP + Tier 1 (general)

I was well prepared and organised so my case worker was very happy and granted me ILR in 20 Minutes and then 1 hour wait to collect passports. 2 things she really liked, one was a colour coded excel sheet with all business and annual trips with passport page numbers of stamps. And other was highlighted salary transaction in all bank statements.

No questions asked about Absences.

I have only been asked for the following documents:

Employer letter
salary slips
bank statements.

No cohabitation documents have been asked.

Please let me know if anyone has any questions?

Hi @abc_1979

Did you submit letter from current employer (Tier 1) ?
Please could you share employment letter format. what details were in that letter?

Many thanks

Congratulations abc_1979. I think much of the issues depend on the caseworker itself. Did you have any single absence over 90 days?

@Son_of_Soil: you just put the Departure, arrival stamp page number. to be honest doesn't matter how you put on. it just need to be clear to the case worker.
for e.g. if departure stamp is on page number 4 and arrival on page 5 then you put like this (4, 5)
and if both stamp are on same page then just write like this (4)

Hi abc,

In your absences schedule did you also include day trips and two day trips (as these would be 0 absences if arrival departure dates are excluded)? Was 270 days after excluding departure and arrival dates?

Thanks

I did not have any 1 or 2 days trips. 270 days was included arrival and departure days. i think they do not realy count the days as long as you can prove that you were based in UK and have been paid for the holidays then it should be fine..

orifgnally she has asked me only salary slips and bank statements. while typing my salary in computer she has done some mistake so she couldn't match the gross salary then she has asked me P60s to confirm it. but then she applogised and said sorry i have typed in wrong.. so P60 was not needed initially..

why is it some people get asked P60s and some people don't? why were you not asked for p60 at all and was just asked for your current employer letter, 12 months salary slips and 12 months bank statements?
