Dependant visa valididty

Post by dreamerB » Thu Aug 11, 2011 12:59 pm

Hello gurus,
I am about to apply for ILR. My wife has a Tier 2 dependant visa valid till July 2012, and she will be eligible for an ILR on Feb 2012. Now, should she be applying with FLR(M) or is her Tier 2 Dependant visa valid even though I will be switching into an ILR.

Thanks for your response in advance

She needs to switch on form FLR(M) and then apply for ILR on form SET(M) once she has completed a total of two years as your dependent (e.g. Tier 2 dependent + ILR dependent).

Can you wait and apply for ILR together when she's eligible too?

@Greenie. Thanks for the response. Also, do you know if she will be able to work with FLR(M) visa?

@vinny The fact is that I am trying to switch companies and unfortunately, a lot of job offers are being turned down due to my visa status. That's the reason I am planning to apply now.
