Advice / Information regarding Work permits and ILR visas

Post by fiddaa » Thu Nov 24, 2011 11:52 am

Hello,

I am currently on a work permit (2007-2012) and would be applying for an ILR in march 2012, what would the current requirements be in terms of salary for my application?
I work as an architectural technician and have been with the same firm and under the same title / position since the start.
I was getting 21000 when I got the work permit issued and I currently am on 28500, would this be enough or should I try to get it revised / raised in order to ensure that my application is not refused on this ground.

My second question is that, my wife joined me in January 2011 and is on a 'work permit dependant visa' issued till march 2012 (expires the same day as mine) so when I put my ILR application in would I need to apply for an extension for her visa as it stands or would it be an extension for an ILR dependant?

Any advice / experiences on the above two matters would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and regards.
