Settled person dependent HELP!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I have to make some clarifications about my wife therefore thought of posting it here.
I'll be qualifying for ILR from tier 1 come this June, however my wife came to this country 4 months ago and therefore she will not qualify for ILR under the new requirements. The questions I have,
Do I have to wait till I get my ILR to apply for a dependent visa of a settled person for my wife or can I make the applicaiton on the same date? is there an advantage in doing so rather than applying through the post for my wife and I go to the PEO as there are only 28 days left before her visa expires.
Can someone clarify if there is a maintenance fund requirement to apply for a dependent visa under dependent of a settled person. I assume this will not come under the PBS rules.
Finally what is the visa fee for a settled person dependent visa
Thanks alot
Alle

i am in same situation though my wife came a year ago.
I am due my ILR in october.
My plan is go to premium for my ILR and then after I get mine apply for wife FLR by post, as i will save some quids.
also, you have to get your wife to do A1 test before she can apply FLR.
further details >>

also, when its time for her ILR, she would require Life in the UK test.

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt replies, I still have some queries outstanding.
Do I have to show Bank statements showing more than £900 for everyday in the last 3 months from the application date, like for tier 1 extensions if so please state the amount and the duration
Do you have any idea how long it is taking for the HO to process the postal application for this category

Alle,
What is your current immigration status?
When do you qualify for ILR?
What is the expiry date of your current leave?
What is the current immigration status of your spouse?
When did she enter UK?
When does her current leave expire?

Your wife should apply for
FLR(M) at the same time as you apply for settlement or soon after you have applied for settlement ... but definitely before her current leave expires.
Fees for settlement application is given in the SET(O) form and the fees for FLR(M) application is given in the FLR(M) form.
If applying at PEO, you may wish to book two appointments on the same day if you wish both the applications to be processed on the same day. If I were you, I would try book the settlement appointment in the first half and the FLR(M) appointment in the second half).
If applying by post, make sure that it is mentioned in a covering letter (of your wife's FLR(M) application) that you are applying / have applied for settlement (and provide necessary personal details - name, dob, nationality, passport no., settlement application reference no. (if she applies after you have received the same) etc.) to help UKBA tag your wife's FLR application to your settlement application.

Thanks for your prompt reply,
I think I know what will be your answer to my next question, but I'd still ask just to make my self clear.
Can't I book 1 appointment for both of us just as in the case of SET(0) with dependent, may be in 1 application and pay the joint fee or even submit the 2 different applications and still pay the joint fee
Thanks

Read through

if applying by post, see
waiting times. If applying at PEO, see
service standard.
